As a community service, Eldercare Services is providing a location and a facilitator for an exciting 10 week class called the “BE! Brain Enrichment Course,” designed by Linda Sasser, Ph.D.
The professional staff of Eldercare has one of our expert Aging Life Care Managers teach the class. The majority of the 25 participants are members of Lamorinda Village – comprised of seniors in the cities of Lafayette, Moraga and Orinda. The Village is part of a national movement of grassroots organizations designed to assist seniors to stay in their own homes in the neighborhoods they love with just a little bit of support and lots of opportunities to stay healthy and engaged.
Eldercare’s mission is to be a link to quality of life options, and to make the latter years the most enriched in the lives of those who live in our community.
BE! participants love the fun exercises in order to keep their brains healthy and avoid brain-related illnesses whenever possible. We hear laughter throughout our offices the entire time the participants are here. It is great to have them here, and share our expertise in aging wisely.
