The Eldercare Services team gathered ‘round the tables again, just like the last 4 years, to craft like holiday elves in our annual winter tradition: making cozy, warm blankets to donate to Trevor’s Eagle Blanket Foundation.
Trevor was born with a congenital heart defect that took his life in 2009, shortly after his 16th birthday. As part of his requirements to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, his project was to make these blankets. Now his foundation works hard to collect fleece-tie , the very place he had several heart surgeries over the years.
Linda Fodrini-Johnson, Founder and Executive Director of Eldercare Services, and Bruce Johnson, COO, delivered a dozen blankets, hand-made by staff members, earlier this month to Trevor’s dad, Jon Tonsing.
“We continue his project with joy and love,” says Fodrini-Johnson. Eldercare Services has been participating in the blanket-making mission since 2010.
