Walking Our Talk; Leading the Way
Eldercare Services actively advocates—legally and socially—for the rights of aging adults. We are leaders in our field; and our commitment to supporting all elders extends beyond the office and long after we punch out. We do this by:
- Pioneering programs such as a program for people in the early stages of Alzheimer's Disease
- Teaching classes and workshops
- Facilitating support groups
SF Mayor’s Expert Panel on Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care
Linda Fodrini-Johnson is a participating member of this committee and serves on the Dementia Services subcommittee.
National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers
Linda Fodrini-Johnson is currently President-Elect of this 2,000 plus member national organization that promotes and supports the profession of Geriatric Care Management.

Eileen Nevitt, an Eldercare Services Professional Geriatric Care Manager and Supervisor, is a consultant for Patient and Family Services at the Bay Area Chapter of the ALS Association and leads support groups.

Linda Fodrini-Johnson is a Trustee serving on the Art Access Committee to help make the Arts accessible to frail elders.
STAND (Stand Against Domestic Violence)
Linda Fodrini-Johnson served on a committee to develop training for Police & Fire Departments regarding spousal abuse, especially where dementia is a factor.

Alzheimer’s Foundation of America
Laurel Etheridge serves as an Excellence in Care Specialist for the A.F.A. evaluating local care settings to help improve the quality of care for persons with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Also, Eldercare Services professionals screen community members for possible dementias during their annual National Memory Screening Day event.

Diablo Respite Center
While Chair of the Center's Steering Committee, Linda Fodrini-Johnson, Director of Eldercare Services, created the country's first program for persons in the early stages of memory loss, a social day-care program that is now a national model.
