“…I wanted to take a few moments to express my gratitude for the amazing services you have and continue to provide to the community. Your pioneer work in adult day care was an impetus for the JCC to develop a program…”
Lillian, Contra Costa Jewish Community Center

Caring, Growing & Evolving

Eldercare Services evolved from the shared needs and experiences of seniors. Founded by Linda Fodrini-Johnson, Eldercare Services has served the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989, when it opened its first “office” in Linda’s Walnut Creek kitchen. The business originally started as a service for helping seniors find alternative housing. Building on Linda’s training and experience in Care Management, it quickly developed into a full-fledged Care Management agency. Disappointed by inconsistent caregiving services from various agencies, Caregiving was added as a service to bring higher quality to all aspects of the client’s life.

From the very beginning through today, everything at Eldercare Services has been guided by Linda Fodrini-Johnson’s founding principles – “The Eldercare Services way of doing things”:

  • Clients’ needs always come first
  • Respect for and preservation of the clients’ dignity and independence serves as the guiding principle for all plans of care
  • Responsible care is enhanced by Professional Care Management and is based on the values of the client
  • Care plans are designed to be proactive to ensure the highest quality of life possible

Today, Eldercare Services has four offices, located in Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Oakland and Marin County all serving the S.F. Bay Area. The Care Management team of more than twenty professionals has backgrounds in Social Work (MSW/LCSW), Nursing (RN/BSN), Family Counseling/Psychotherapy (MFT) and Gerontology. As geriatric specialists, most are also certified in Care Management (CMC). Eldercare Services employs more than 200 caregivers, experienced and trained through ongoing education by professionals.

Eldercare Services continues to advocate and care for clients in Northern California and serves as a lifeline for family members and representatives who live in other parts of the world.

“Rather than telling people what they can and cannot do, we at Eldercare Services embrace the infinite number of opportunities for living that exist and advocate for our clients’ and their family’s health and happiness”.
