The Director of Human Resources is a strategic leader opportunity for a proven candidate that is interested in both managing Eldercare Services HR operations locally and its plan to expand regionally and nationally. The right candidate will be involved in enterprise level build-outs and high growth in staffing and operational concerns.
Responsibilities include compensation, health and welfare benefit programs, performance review, merit planning process, and HRIS system administration. The Director of HR will conduct market analysis to align employee compensation programs with comparable external pay practices and serve as coach and consultant to leaders and employees on key organizational and performance management issues. The Director of Human Resources will be member of the Management Team.
Eldercare Services has been serving the Bay area for over 28 years and has become recognized both locally and nationally for leadership in the field of geriatric care. This is a key opportunity for the right person to join our team as our operations expand nationally through our joint venture partnership called the VillagePlan. If you have 5 – 10 years of experience as a Director or Manager in Human Resources and multi state experience, we would like to hear from you. We are a fee for service agency and experience with fee for services is required. This is a full-time salaried position.
The Director of Human Resources will have exhibited an on-going successful track record that includes:
- Current knowledge of state and federal employment laws and the ability to exercise initiative to assure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and active listening skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communications
- Follow-through to assure timely, high quality completion of all tasks
- Coaching and counseling experience
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field; advanced education preferred
- At least 5 years of diverse HR Management
- PHR certification and SHRM-CP preferred
- Experience working with employees in multiple states
- Strong computer skills, HR/CRM databases and some experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
