Walk to End Alzheimer’s

October 21, 2017

This October, The Alzheimer’s Association is holding its annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. It is the largest event of its kind in the world! Join thousands of participants on the lovely 3 mile walk, designed for people of all ability levels.

The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association is to put an end to this devastating disease. The walks fund research towards finding a cure, and everyone can all help by donating or fundraising! The walk in Walnut Creek, CA is on Saturday, October 21st at Heather Farm Park.

What better way to get some exercise on a nice fall morning than by spending it with friends and family, and by raising money and awareness for Alzheimer’s research? Join the staff of Eldercare Services and their clients as we walk together as a team.

Visit the Alzheimer’s Association website to to join our team, make a donation or find a team in your area.

See the website for details on how you can raise money or donate. If you aren’t close to Walnut Creek you can start a team, or join someone else’s team! This walk not only raises money for the advancement of research, but it brings together our community and creates a system of support. Participants receive a wrist band to show how they are involved and connected to the event: if they’ve lost someone with Alzheimer’s, if they have Alzheimer’s, if they care for someone with the disease, know someone with the disease, or just want to help the cause.

Join us, and let’s help eliminate Alzheimer’s disease.
